The first thing you notice when you uncork a bottle of Lambrusco Mantovano DOP Secco Torre is the delightful scent of blackcurrant and black cherry, followed by an intense ruby red colour that glides into the glass and ends with a creamy and very persistent froth. A wine with a round taste, perfect for every meal.
Its low alcohol content and characteristic sparkling qualities make it a light, not particularly demanding wine. It is best drunk young, within a year of bottling at most. Keep to the recommended serving temperature of between 12°C and 15°C and you will experience all the fruity scents and that velvety but intense taste that determine the character of this wine.
Its marked aciditymakes it the ideal companion for meat dishes. Harmonious and fresh, it pervades the palate and tones down any particularly strong flavours. A red sparkling wine, Lambrusco Mantovano DOP Secco Torre is one of the great classics of Mantua – an ideal accompaniment to your meals but also well suited to serving as an aperitif.
