Our flagship Lambrusco Mantovano DOP, Rosso dei Concari, brings with it the history of the site where the company is located. Its name is a tribute to the original labourers at the Conca di Governolo, a hydraulic engineering work built by Gabriele Bertazzolo in 1609 to render the Mincio River navigable and boost trade in the Duchy of Mantua.
The valuable ingredients of our Rosso dei Concari reflect the ancient glories of Mantua’s history. Its selected grapes undergo a process of slow fermentation and maturation at -5 ° C to exalt its full bodied, dry and intense flavour. To fully enjoy its fruity and floral nuances, it is recommended to be consumed within a year of bottling, but it is an excellent Lambrusco also drunk later, if you are looking for a more structured product.
The attention to detail that characterizes the Rosso dei Concari makes it one of the province’s main attractions in the field of wines. Ideal for important occasions, to drink in company or to give as a gift.

Standard-bearer of Mantuan Lambrusco, in the wide range we have chosen the Rosso dei Concari, dedicated to the workers of the Conca di Governolo who made the Mincio river navigable in 1609. The intense purplish foam is beautiful, it smells of cherry and violet and in the mouth it is tasty and fragrant, very fruity, with a sweet note that harmonizes it.
Its nose is purposeful, with fruity and floral tones, then sweet hints of cherry, pomegranate and violet develop. The fresh sip, the tannin present but contained. Wideness and flavor are not lacking.

COMBINING WITH FOODS
Rosso dei Concari is ideal with distinctive flavours such as char-grilled or roasted red meats as its lively tones contrast with their rich and smoky properties. For the same reason this Lambrusco Mantovano also combines well with risotto, first courses with meat and charcuterie that is not excessively aged.
