Lambrusco Mantovano Castello DOP takes its name from the spectacular castle guarding the main gateway to the city of Mantua. One of the city’s most representative monuments, the Castle of San Giorgio is home to the Camera degli Sposi, the famous room frescoed by Mantegna which attracts visitors from all over the world.
A wine that recalls the fragrances of summer. With hints of berries and cherries, its harmony is reflected in the fresh and rounded taste from the Viadanese, Maestri, Marani and Ancellotta grapes. This is a blend guaranteed to ensure visitors are welcomed according to ancient traditions, with Lambrusco playing the host to tortelli and lively conversation.
The ruby red colour, delicate scent and intense and sapid taste make it perfect with the traditional Mantuan first courses as well as with sophisticated second courses such as boiled meats, game, roasts and white meats.

AWARDS
I don’t often come across sparkling red wine, but when I do, I’m amazed by the wide options a sparkling red can offer when it comes to food pairing. Here, the bubbles refresh and tame the heaviness of the red grape, making it a good choice with veal and fish dishes. Medium-bodied and dry, with notes of fresh citrus, blackberry jam, and red currant, the bubbles in this rosso are subtle. A good value for money, especially if you are looking for something unique.
From Mantova in the Lombardy wine region, Lebovitz Torre Vino Frizzante Rosso Secco is a Lambrusco from that northern Italy region, giving it the designation of the only Italian appellation for Lambrusco outside the Emilia-Romagna wine region. This is delightful fizzy red with blueberry, mulberry and blackberry jammy flavours on the palate. Chill and pair it with mozzarella or polenta fries with marinara sauce.
COMBINING WITH FOODS
Ideally combined with pasta dishessuch as risotto, stuffed pasta and lasagna. It can however also be served with strongly flavoured meat dishes such as roasts, grilled meats or stews. Fresh and smooth, it will be a fine accompaniment to white meats and mature cheeses.
